What is AmongChat?
Among Us is a multiplayer strategy game that became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this game, 4 to 10 players must complete a series of tasks. Some players will be assigned the role of crewmates while the rest are assigned as imposters. The goal of the crewmates is to complete their tasks and kick out the imposters. This is done by holding emergency meetings; however, these gatherings are done in the game’s in-app chat.
Time spent typing can cost a crewmate or an imposter valuable time. With AmongChat, it gives all the players more time to discuss who they believe is the imposter. This also gives imposters time to defend themselves and fool the crewmates. To start playing, you can create your own server or join a public one. The game will proceed as usual until you or another crewmate starts the emergency meeting.
The perks of joining in AmongChat is that you'll be matched with players your age. Indicate your age group and the app will show servers with the people that have selected the same category. You can also follow your friends that are using the app as well; however, the app doesn’t have a search bar so the app guesses who your friends are based on your login credentials such as your phone number, email address, Facebook account, etc.

Don’t worry, you will not mistakenly communicate with young users if you’re more comfortable with people your age. You can filter servers so you join ones with players like you. As a new program, it lacks a few features but it's not something that can’t be fixed.
